VITA Expands U.S. Boat Sales & Service with Waypoint Marine Group in Washington State
April 13, 2026 – Vita Power has appointed Waypoint Marine Group as an authorized dealer for its electric commercial workboats in Washington State. The agreement provides commercial operators, public agencies, and port authorities in the Pacific Northwest with local access to Vita’s vessels and support services.
The partnership coincides with the opening of Washington’s Zero Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP), which offers point-of-sale vouchers for eligible electric commercial vessels. These incentives are processed through approved dealers and may reduce upfront purchase costs for qualifying buyers.
Regional Access to Electric Workboats
Waypoint Marine Group, based in Seattle, will offer sales, service, and support for Vita’s electric rigid inflatable boats (RIBs). The company has operated in the Pacific Northwest marine sector since 2004, providing vessel sales, maintenance, and moorage services.
“Washington State represents one of the most relevant markets for electric workboats in the U.S., given its combination of environmental policy, active commercial waterways, and public-sector adoption. The operating profile here, from port operations to patrol and utility work, aligns closely with what our electric RIBs are designed for: high-utilization, nearshore duty cycles where reliability, fuel savings, and low noise and emissions deliver practical advantages.” – Scott Canning, VP Business Development, Vita Power US
Incentive Program Details
WAZIP provides vouchers that are applied at the point of sale rather than through post-purchase rebates. Eligibility includes businesses, government entities, and non-profits operating in Washington State. Additional incentive levels are available for certain categories of purchasers, such as small businesses and public agencies.
According to program guidelines, vouchers may cover a significant portion of vessel cost, depending on eligibility and funding availability.
Access and Implementation
Customers purchase vessels directly through Waypoint Marine Group, which also manages the WAZIP application process. Program support services are available to assist with eligibility and technical considerations.
