The Yacht Forum by Sunreef: Sunreef 60 ALANDI
In a drastic turn of events, in 2012, a fire broke out in one of the production units of the Sunreef Yachts shipyard in Gdansk, Poland. Setting ablaze four, one 60 and three 70-foot custom catamarans under construction – the fire destroyed almost everything in its path. Founder and CEO, Francis Lapp, vividly remembers receiving a call about the catastrophe on his trip to Turkey and voices suggesting how it may just be time to shut down operations permanently.
But Lapp chose the road less travelled and took the time to rebuild the shipyard from scratch. None of this would have been possible without the never-ending trust of his customers, who believed that Sunreef Yachts would get back up to deliver top-notch quality. As a result, the following year, Francis Lapp not only launched the world’s first carbon superyacht catamaran, but also received the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award at the World Yachts Trophies in Cannes.
The Making of the Yacht Forum by Sunreef
Francis Lapp firmly believes in establishing long-term relationships with customers of the shipyard via good communication. For this reason, the Yacht Forum by Sunreef was set up to allow consumers to voice their opinions about the brand. Allow us to share one of the many stories that have been preserved as milestones in the Sunreef Yachts history:
Part 3
The 2022 Sunreef 60 ALANDI was known to be one of the world’s most outstanding sailing catamarans with its modern marine architecture, hi-tech technology, and interior design. With a rich sailing experience, Andreas, the owner of ALANDI reached out to Sunreef Yachts to build a 60-foot sailing catamaran that he could operate with or without a crew. Andreas admitted, “Altogether for me Sunreef is an exceptional product which any other can’t compete with”.
the Sunreef 60 ALANDI has been spotted sailing the shores of Italy quite frequently as she continues to prove herself as the perfect all-around sailing catamaran for exclusive getaways and transoceanic adventures. ALANDI houses six guests in her three large staterooms, as well as crew members. The interiors have been adorned in teak and elegant natural materials that emphasize the modern style of the sailing catamaran. Apart from her luxuriously crafted interiors, this sailing catamaran does not fall short on her exteriors featuring alfresco dining and lounging sports on the bow terrace, aft cockpit, and flybridge.
