The Sunreef Yacht Forum: Sunreef 70 Capi IV

The founder of Sunreef Yachts, Francis Lapp, successfully raised a company of over 3000 employees in its 22 years of service. The first 74-feet oceangoing, luxury catamaran with a flybridge was launched at the Gdansk shipyard in 2003. Since then, the shipyard has come a long way.

Today, sailing and power catamarans from Sunreef set a newer standard of luxury across the maritime industry. Additionally, the shipyard has emerged at the forefront of innovation with its transpacific range and usage of contemporary technology. With its growing consumer base, the company has now introduced a new yachting forum.

How Did the Sunreef Yacht Forum Emerge?

Over the years, Sunreef Yachts has secured an avid following of repeat customers with their efforts of fostering loyalty and satisfaction in all its relationships. This also became one of the main motivations of establishing a dedicated discussion platform, which later came to be known as ‘The Sunreef Yacht Forum’.

Part 2

Such is the story of Fernado who first purchased a Sunreef 62 in 2008 and years later, returned to buy yet another Sunreef catamaran – this time around it was the Sunreef 70. Fernando acknowledged, “The (brand) definitely has (a different brand philosophy) – the design, material, and equipment is superior to any other brands that I investigated.”

Named Capi IV, this 2022 sailing catamaran was built to operate as a traditional ‘family boat’ with dedicated cabins for children. When questioned about his decision of sticking with Sunreef over the years, Fernando stated “The base for all of my boats is in Luperon Bay in the north of the Dominican Republic. It is a natural hurricane hold, full of mangroves, (and) perfect for catamarans.”
