INEOS Britannia announce Vita as Official Supplier for the 37th America’s Cup

September 4, 2024 – In pursuit of the 37th America’s Cup, INEOS Britannia has named Vita, the marine technology company, the Official Supplier of Electric Boats and Marine Charging Infrastructure.

This partnership signifies a strong commitment by INEOS Britannia to embrace new and innovative technologies in the pursuit of reducing the team’s impact on the marine environment.

Vita develops high performance electric powertrains and electric boats for commercial and recreational marine applications and will be supplying multiple electric boats including their 7m SEAL all-electric RIB’s as well as VAMP, a 10m electric boat developed in collaboration with renowned superyacht tender builder TenderWorks.

In addition, AQUA superPower, the world’s first dockside charging network and Vita’s sister company, is the Official Supplier of Marine Charging Infrastructure to INEOS Britannia and will be installing high speed DC dockside chargers at the team base and in ports throughout the Barcelona area further extending its global network of fast chargers for electric boats.

The fleet of Vita electric boats will be a central part of the INEOS Britannia hospitality experience in collaboration with Cecil Wright & Partners, bringing guests from the team base in Marina Port Vell to the AC37 club at Port Olimpic and out onto the race course to see the action up close.

The 37th America’s Cup Match will take place in late October 2024 (12-27 October), in Barcelona Spain in AC75 Class race boats. To compete in the Cup match, five challenging teams will battle it out in The Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selections Series 29 Aug – 7 Oct, competing in round robin race series. Youth and Women’s America’s Cup events will also be contested using identical AC40 class race boats, adjacent to the Louis Vuitton Cup rounds in September and October.
