ELECTRIC TIDAL THAMES CRAFT

Navigating the Woods’ Silver Fleet into the 21st century and once again pushing the boundaries of events and shipbuilding on the Thames, siblings Tom Woods, Kate Woods and William Woods have set a new standard in London sightseeing.

Constructed by superyacht specialists Pendennis Shipyard. The Silver Raven is built with incredible attention to detail and a deep commitment to a greener, cleaner River Thames. To help bring their vision to life, the family partnered with suppliers from all corners of the United Kingdom continuing their tradition of supporting British shipyards and business.

For twenty years National Maritime has worked tirelessly to promote the capabilities of the UK maritime supply chain. In that time the UK government and its departments including the National Shipbuilding Office and the Department for Business and Trade have failed to grasp and understand how best to support UK maritime SMEs. For twenty years I’ve listened to the same conversations, with government propping up the same institutionalised trade associations and bodies, whom have presided over a National Shipbuilding Strategy that has failed to deliver a single vessel and a National Shipbuilding Finance Guarantee Scheme, that has never guaranteed a loan to a UK shipbuilder or shipyard!

So, a huge congratulations to the team at Woods Silver Fleet for supporting British businesses and for being true to your convictions. You delivered 👏 We delivered 👏 A great legacy for us both.
